Delete a session

Outcome
Section titled “Outcome”The selected session is removed from the Synthezia session browser, local database, and derived search indexes.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- You have reviewed the session and retained any summary or source material you still need.
- Return to the session browser.
- Select the trash control on the session row.
- Review the confirmation prompt carefully.
- Select Delete to remove the session.
Expected result
Section titled “Expected result”The session database row, transcript and summary records, and derived index entries are removed from Synthezia’s local SQLite data.
Data boundary
Section titled “Data boundary”Deletion is local. It does not make a remote provider delete any data it retained under its own policy.
Common problems
Section titled “Common problems”- You deleted the wrong session: the current flow has no documented restore operation. Keep exports and source recordings before deletion.
- The source file is still on disk: that is expected; Synthezia does not delete the user-owned file selected at import.
- You need complete local-file removal: session deletion and app-data reset do not currently establish a complete audio-file cleanup contract.
