Remote provider errors

An External API summary, chat request, or remote embedding request returns an authorization, connection, model, or provider error.

The base URL, API key, chat model, endpoint transport, provider availability, or fixed remote embedding-model contract may not match the configured endpoint.

Confirm External API is selected, review the base URL and model name, and test with non-sensitive content. Never copy an API key into a support request or screenshot.

Correct the provider configuration or use Local Mode when a local workflow is appropriate. For a provider-specific failure, validate its chat-completions and embeddings support separately; an OpenAI-compatible label alone is insufficient.

Reset app data clears the locally stored API key but cannot retract content already sent to a provider or repair the provider configuration.

Collect the provider domain without credentials, model name, action type, HTTP-style error details if shown, application version, and whether the failure is chat, summary, or embeddings.
