Reset recording permissions
Symptoms
Section titled “Symptoms”macOS retains a denied or stale permission result after a development build changes, or the normal settings controls cannot re-prompt for capture access.
Likely causes
Section titled “Likely causes”macOS privacy controls cache permission decisions. Ad-hoc development builds can change code-signature identity and expose a stale result.
Fast checks
Section titled “Fast checks”First check the relevant macOS permission pane and the in-app permission status. Use a reset only when a fresh macOS prompt is necessary.
Resolution
Section titled “Resolution”Open Settings > macOS Permissions and use the recording-permission reset control. On the next capture attempt, respond to the macOS prompt and then quit and reopen after changing Screen Recording access.
Data-loss warning
Section titled “Data-loss warning”This reset affects only the macOS Microphone and Screen Recording privacy entries for Synthezia. It does not delete recordings, sessions, models, settings, or exports.
Information to collect for support
Section titled “Information to collect for support”Collect the prior and new permission states, macOS version, app version, whether this is a development build, and the exact error after retrying.
