Search index not ready
Symptoms
Section titled “Symptoms”Global Chat says indexing is pending, lacks sources, requests a search model, or cannot answer across sessions.
Likely causes
Section titled “Likely causes”The user has not started indexing, the local embedding model is missing, indexing is still running, or there is insufficient transcript content to retrieve.
Fast checks
Section titled “Fast checks”Open the global chat experience, check its indexing state, and confirm that the local embedding model is installed. Ensure the relevant sessions have completed transcripts.
Resolution
Section titled “Resolution”Start or allow local indexing to complete, then retry the question. Keep the question specific enough to match the available session content and review any sources shown with the response.
Data-loss warning
Section titled “Data-loss warning”Do not reset app data to solve a pending index unless you intend to delete all local session and index records. Resetting requires rebuilding the index from remaining sessions.
Information to collect for support
Section titled “Information to collect for support”Collect the indexing state, number of completed sessions, embedding-model state, exact message, provider mode, application version, and whether a new test session indexes.
