Reset app data
Setting contract
Section titled “Setting contract”| Item | Current behavior |
|---|---|
| Default | No reset runs unless you confirm it. |
| Valid values | Cancel or confirm Reset app data. The full installation reset is development-only. |
| Existing sessions | Reset app data deletes all session and index rows; it cannot be undone in Synthezia. |
| New sessions | Start with default settings after the application reloads. |
| Storage | Clears Synthezia-prefixed webview local-storage keys and the session database records. |
| Privacy | Clears local settings including the remote API key, but does not ask a remote provider to delete retained data. |
| Restart | The application reloads after a successful reset. |
Before you reset
Section titled “Before you reset”- Keep the original recording and export only material you intend to retain.
- Remember that exports are stored at destinations you selected and are not removed.
- Do not use a reset as the first response to a model or permission error.
What remains
Section titled “What remains”Reset app data does not remove normalized WAV files in the application audio directory, downloaded models, imported source files, or exports. The development-only full installation reset also clears local audio and model directories, but it is not a normal end-user recovery path.
