Customize summary templates
import DataBoundary from ‘../../../components/DataBoundary.astro’;
Outcome
Section titled “Outcome”Your chosen summary mode uses a saved custom template for future generations.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- You know which summary mode needs different instructions.
- You have reviewed a completed transcript so the template does not request unsupported facts.
- Open Settings from the sidebar or press Cmd+,.
- Under Default summary mode, locate the mode to change and open its template editor.
- Replace or refine the instructions. Ask for a concrete structure, such as decisions and action items, rather than asking the model to invent missing details.
- Save the template, then regenerate a summary from a reviewed test session.
- Use Reset to default in the editor when the custom instructions do not produce a useful result.
Expected result
Section titled “Expected result”Synthezia retains the edited template for that mode and applies it when you generate a summary in that mode.
Data boundary
Section titled “Data boundary”Template text is stored with application settings in webview local storage. A Local Mode summary sends it to the local runtime; an External API summary can send it to the configured endpoint.
Common problems
Section titled “Common problems”- The output lacks information: templates cannot recover details that are absent or inaccurate in the transcript.
- A template should apply to one session only: use the Custom mode for that generation instead of changing a shared mode template.
- You need a reset: reset the template in its editor; app-data reset also clears custom templates and is destructive.
