Current upgrade boundary

The inspected runtime does not expose an automatic application-update workflow. Obtain an approved release artifact through the release channel your organization trusts, then follow its installation instructions. Do not assume that an artifact is signed, notarized, or compatible solely because a build configuration exists.

Before replacing the app

Keep original source recordings outside Synthezia’s application-data directory.
Export only summaries you intend to preserve separately.
Record the current application version, macOS version, and any active provider settings needed for your own recovery process.
Keep the prior app artifact until the replacement opens and a safe test session works.

Application data is separate from the bundle, but this documentation does not establish a universal upgrade or rollback guarantee. Do not delete application data to solve a normal upgrade problem.
