| AI provider | Local (Ollama) | Future summaries, chat, and provider-aware embeddings |

Storage and privacy
Section titled “Storage and privacy”Settings, custom templates, provider URL, model names, and a remote-provider API key are stored under Synthezia-prefixed keys in webview local storage. The key is not stored in macOS Keychain. Selecting an External API changes the data boundary for the operations that use it; review the provider page before sending sensitive content.
